Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. As a child, she was exposed to many traditional music as well as traditional boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic shows. Ana started learning how to play the piano and sing in the early years alongside her mother. She received more formal vocal training when she reached the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and being a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles as well as choruses. In 2000, she relocated to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo with classical Latin American music at private performances. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in numerous community projects because of her love and passion for music. Ana was a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of the traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire other people to follow in her footsteps.
